The Broome Soccer Association was originally played at Broome's PCYC in the 1990's with 6 senior men's teams competing. Prior to incorporation soccer was played in the 1950s with four teams competing including players linked to workers from Broome Prison and the Malaysian pearling industry. These games were played on the site of the current Broome Civic Centre.
